Call to Worship
  Glory to you Almighty God:
You spoke and light came out of darkness and order   arose from confusion
  Glory to you, Jesus Christ!
You met us as a refugee, a threatened child, the word  made flesh, born in a forgotten place.
  Glory to you, Holy Spirit!
You brooded over chaos mothering and shaping God’s  creation.
  Glory to you, God, Three-In-One!
You are surrounded by the song of the saints in Heaven  and you are present with us now.

Hymn: #315 VU
 “Holy, Holy, Holy”

Prayer of Approach: (in unison)
(We prepare our hears and minds to be open to the presence of God among us today.)
Holy Trinity,  the great Three In One,
you are the Joy of the universe.
We gather in this place this morning
to sing your praises and ask Your blessing upon us  here at New Hope.
Help us to understand the idea of Trinity
for we sometimes wonder how You can be
 Three and yet One.
Help us to understand how each of Your features  shapes the world in which we live
and guides us through our lives,
 our trials and our successes.
We thank you for Your continued love for us.  Amen

Children’s Time

Prayer of Confession:
Dear God, as we are called to be
Your presence on earth, we admit that we are not always what You want us to be.
We forget that You sent your Son, Jesus,
so that we could see God in the flesh
and we fail to recognize the presence of Your  Holy Spirit as it surrounds us in all that we do.
Forgive our impatience, forgive our forgetfulness
and forgive our lack of understanding.
 We are humans with weaknesses
  that we try to control,
but it is not always possible.
We are to be your presence among the people
and we will try to honour the commitment
  that You made for us.
Gracious God we seek Your healing grace
and ask for forgiveness in the name of Your Son
  and the Holy Spirit.  Amen

Congregational Sung Response:  #948  VU
O God, hear my prayer, O God, hear my prayer,
 When I call answer me.
O God, hear my prayer, O God, hear my prayer,
 Come and listen to me.

Words of Assurance
The great God, His Son and the Holy Spirit,  understands
our weaknesses and with love extends His assurance of  pardon that we are forgiven.  As Jesus said to the  woman, “Go and sin no more”,  we have assurance that  we are forgiven with the promise to do better to serve  God.  Amen

We give you but your own,
  whate'er the gift may be;
all that we have is yours alone,
  we give it gratefully.

Offertory Prayer
God who is One, God who is Three, You are more than  we can imagine.  You give us so much and we are  grateful. We offer You our gifts today.  May they help  in supporting Your work  here at New Hope and  abroad.  Thanks be to God.
